Hi there!
I'm Qirui (pronounced chee-ray)
Before turning into the Product/UX Designer I am now, I spent my college years in UCLA getting nurtured by the year-round sunshine and learning about Psychology.

While understanding human motivations and behavior has always been my passion, I kept asking myself "then what?" I was eager to use that understanding to create something more tangible. And that brought me to an undergrad User-Centered Design class, the start of my journey to Product Design. Hoping to continue transforming what I learned from people into enjoyable experiences, I signed myself up to the Human-Centered Design and Engineering Masters program at UW.
Outside of work, I'm also ...

🎬 A huge cinephile
The Florida Project (2017), Amélie (2001), and Thelma and Louise (1991) are a few among my all time favorites

🧋 A (somewhat proud) boba addict
If you find yourself in Seattle, I highly recommend trying out TP Tea

🎨 A passionate explorer of visual storytelling
not only do I seek comfort in the consumption of various visual stories (films, illustrations, manga, visual novels etc.) I have also been excited to dip my hands in crafting them. See a few of my experimentations down here ⬇️
